Sumptuous and purple. And some vibrant red from floral appliques. A sprinkle of AB glass stones. And more purple.
 
The front of this purse is covered in painted purple cork cloth with a streak or two of irridescence. The back is painted reptile-embossed paper. All blended and complimentary to each other in... more purple! The "pennies" are not metal or coins or at all. Rather, they are cast from handmade (by me) molds using acrylic caulk and then gilded in real gold leaf. The gold vegan tape wrapping the edge of the lid finishes it all off nicely.
 
The latch and hinge are a matching gold color. The fold-down relief handle is handmade by me and is painted to look like rubbed bronze or antique gold. This purse sits on four purple glass purse feet. The removable passementerie silk thread key tassel has just the right dimensions to set off this purse. Not small or diminutive, it needs to be grand.
 
The interior design is comprised of three complimentary paper styles, which at all times emphasize the grandeur of purple. Two glitter cut paper panels straddle the 2" diameter beveled mirror.
